"Laugh, and the world laughs with you,
Weep, and you weep alone."
She believed these lines to be so true,
That, In solitude she chose to mourn.
Buried in her heart for ages,
Her sorrows started taking their toll.
They refused to be trapped in cages,
They became a burden on her soul.
Exhausted by the stress of her woes,
She was drifting away from reality.
Unable to control their violent blows,
Her emotions started indenting her sanity.
Her condition was labeled as depression,
She became unstable and untamed.
Compassion for her was out of question,
Her erratic behavior was to be blamed.
Doctors, Saints and Astrologers,
From distant lands were called.
Several hymns were chanted,
Many prescriptions scrawled.
In her babble, that the world ignored,
She liberated her emotional anxiety.
Having all her worries out-poured,
She was able to restore her sanity.
She continues to laugh with the world,
Yet, at times, in depression she goes.
Her condition is not understood by the world,
For till date, In solitude she mourns.
