When Darkness Consumed Me - Part II

Desperate to break free I scouted through the prison,

Digging my way out seems to be the only option.

I found a rusted rod, that’s enough to breakthrough  

Once I escape, I can safeguard my kingdom too.

“He began to dig and went on for days together,

But as time passed by, his will began to scatter.

Exhausted and frustrated; the king finally quit,

Failure had sealed him in an endless murky pit.”

There seems to be no escape, I have reached the end.

Amidst these dense walls, I am destined to descend.

For I am unable to nudge this giant beast of stone,

I have failed to protect my beloved kingdom and throne.

“All hope disappears, when the times get turbulent,

Chaos takes over and terribly misguides our judgment.  

His passage to liberty, is just a few centimeters away,

But the emperor’s ignorance has made him go astray.”
